Daido juku is a full contact MMA inspired karate style from japan. It originating as a offshoot from the kyokushin style of karate (famous for its full contact bareknuckle competitions, and success in kickboxing) and has been around since 1981, and is quickly growing worldwide. Knees, elbows, headbutts groinkicks, throws and submissions. Basicaly anything is allowed. Ther rules for ground work is that grappling on the ground is time limited, and "ground and pound" can only be simulated if done to the head (although it gives points). Everything else is full contact all the way. "Kudo" is the name of their competition system.
