Although the weapon of choice for cutting rock tones, this is no one-trick pony. The bridge pickup is slightly hotter than a vintage PAF, and the neck pickup slightly cleaner. Easily covers clean to mean, with a focused midrange and defined treble overtones that will cut through any band. This guitar features resonant korina and solidbody construction with a raised center section on the front. The thicker center mass improves clarity and sustain, while the thinner wings increase resonance for an instrument that is lively, clear and rich in harmonics. Gear used for this recording: Reverend 112 Hellhound amp on US setting, MI Audio Crunch Box for the overdrive parts, close-miced with a Shure SM58 microphone, Audacity recording software.
