Promo for MassCann/NORML Benefit event on Sat. April 19th, 2008. Be there with us as we countdown to 420! With Robby Roadsteamer, The AndWutz, Graveyard BBQ, Prospect Hill, Hektik and Aztech. We'll also be celebrating my birthday and Tony and Former Jenn Spanks 420 Wedding Anniversary. Robby Roadsteamer is on WBCN 104.1 FM (the #1 rock station in Boston) on Wed. and Friday Nights. He recently appeared on a telecast of the Boston Red Sox with Jerry Remy as well as the NESN dating show, Sox Appeal and VH-1's Best Week Ever. Graveyard BBQ has an international following after their song was released on the original Guitar Hero video game. Prospect Hill recently recorded some music with Godsmack guitarist, Tony Rombola which will soon be released on the new Prospect Hill cd. The AndWutz cd was recorded by Frank Pino of Waltham and Pino Bros Ink who has appeared in a Disney movie, won Boston Music Awards and featured as a rock coach on MTV's hit TV show, "Made" among many other accomplishments. Hektik and Aztech were booked by Chris Foye, a veteran who is celebrating his return home from duty in Kuwait with this 420 event. Tony and Former Jenn Spanks will celebrate their 1st 420 wedding anniversary at this party. "Countdown to 420" starts at 9PM, Sat. April 19th, 2008 at the Middle East Upstairs, Mass Ave., Cambridge, MA, cover TBA. 18+ http://myspace.com/band4masscann http://mideastclub.com And please understand that MA is no smoking inside the club regardless of what you might enjoy in the privacy of your home. The Middle East is one of the premier if not best club of it's size with 7 nights of original music featuring the best nationally signed, local, indie, and unsigned acts around. It's a great place, we want to thank them for hosting our event and hope to do future events to raise money to change the law. The Middle East is probably my favorite club of all and we have a ton of great ones that I get to go to. Don't put their license on the line. This is Massachusetts and not California. Smoke outside or in a safe place after the Countdown, support the bands and the cause inside. When we are outside at the Rally, it is on the individual and civil disobedience is not hurting a business that is liable. But when you do it at a club that is sponsoring us and helping us raise money and a great time, you are putting that small business owner, a family I know and really respect, at risk. Don't do it. I hate to be lecturing, we've never had anybody do it, because our crowd is awesome and shows respect. But just want to let people know, don't be the 1 idiot that does. This is a family run business not some great huge corporation owner, please show respect for the venue and tip the bartenders well because they are top of the line service for a top line rock club with decent prices.
