Since MCA 'lent' Patsy to RCA for the duet, then RCA was obligated to do the same with Jim. And another 'duet' was made, Jim's version of the song mixed with Patsy. It didn't chart. It was added to the 1982 album "Remembering Patsy Cline & Jim Reeves" by MCA.
After eighteen years and 27 charted singles since his death, it was finally over for Jim Reeves. His music still lives on.
