Sorry if the video quality is not that great. The clarity of it really depends on how your monitor is adjusted.
I'm 18 years old, male, and always healthy before I started having these muscle problems 1 year ago. I was hit by a car while riding my bike just prior to the beginning of the symptoms, but at this point it is uncertain what relation the accident has to my symptoms. I also have a history of very intense exercise and dietary restriction to maintain weight for wrestling and other sports. For clarification of this, you can see the video response that I posted. My diet was very selective and I had a very high intake of dairy products, specifically very large amounts of yogurt. I also used to consume very high amounts of fiber, mostly from tortillas made with oat fiber that have 18g/tortilla. During the couple of months before this all started I also began drinking caffeinated coffee. Needless to say, I stopped drinking it very soon after the symptoms began.
I recently had an EMG, and the results were not normal. Some of the muscles examined, most specifically those in my right arm, had spontaneous electrical activity at rest, and upon recruitment exhibited some abnormal electrical patterns. Nerve conduction was normal in all 4 limbs. I also had an MRI done of the cervical spine which came back normal. All blood work has been normal, which has ruled out many many different neurological problems.Tags: Fasciculations twitches twitch twsitching trigger point |
