There's no question times are getting tough - I went from very comfortably middle-class to officially poor rather quickly, and it's getting harder and harder to make ends meet for everyone. Thank god I downsized my lifestyle so quickly, and never did acquire typical levels of consumer debt. And I h..

FSTargetDrone, you're overstating the effect. Yes, there IS political pressure to blame the pilots rather than the airplane. It's not just in France, either - the default in any aviation accident is that the pilot(s) is either wholly or partially at fault. I don't believe there is a conspiracy, and..

No, he did not bleach his skin . Vitiligo bleached his skin. That's what it does , it destroys the melanocytes ..

Yes, it's still a problem today. Sorry if I came across implying it wasn't. Today's situation, however, is much improved over prior decades. Found this while wandering on YouTube: Wagon Wheel ..

It wouldn't, however, be the first time that the evidence in an air crash started out contradictory and puzzling. That's why these investigations take time. It's also true that we don't always come up with a firm answer in these matters. Found this while wandering on YouTube: Wagon Wheel ..

Sedative doses are dependent on bodyweight. Even buff dwarfs are still dwarfs, and they don't have as much mass as a man of normal stature. Yeah, I could see that happening. Found this while wandering on YouTube: Wagon Wheel ..

Re: Hummingbird Ornithopter UAV. Yes you read that right.

Oh, it's scalable alright - we own a couple RC ornithopters right now. Ours are more toys than sophisticated spy drones. The technology is maturing rapidly and becoming less expensive. It's not so much the airframe that's improved but the battery/power storage technology. That was the limiting fact..

It's not just a matter of wealth - in the US it can be extremely difficult to get even the poor and psychotic into treatment against their will. Unless you are an immediate threat to others or yourself it essentially can't be done. Even so, repeatedly hacking up your face via compulsive plastic sur..

True. And some people with extensive vitiligo have, indeed, chosen to chemically bleach their remaining pigmented skin to even out their skin color. It is a perfectly legitimate course to take in extreme cases. However, professionally, medically done skin bleaching for such cases IS pretty total in..

I've met Springer in real life (NO! I was NOT on one of his shows!). Trust me, if the man thought he could make a dime off this he's no doubt sitting somewhere smoking a cigar and scheming. On the other hand, if the money made can settle Jackson's debts, provide for his children and family, and make his fans happy it's hard to argue that's a problem. Sure, the backers/promoters make money - they're also the ones who took financial risks here. That is how the entertainment business mak..
